What you’ll be doing

• Architect and implement our next-generation real-time trading platform, ensuring high performance and reliability across various trading venues and asset classes
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Advance our trading infrastructure by designing and extending functionalities including order management, compliance protocols, connectivity solutions, and market data processing on both DeFi and CeFi exchanges
• Develop and enhance tools for real-time market analysis and insight generation to seize trading opportunities.
• Collaborate with quants and traders to rapidly transform ideas into solutions, refine and scale both new and existing strategies.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Participate in on-call schedule to analyse and resolve production issues

The ideal candidate

• Crypto nativity and interests in latest developments in the space
• Deep knowledge of blockchain technology and DeFi protocols
• Track record of building highly performant, distributed and optimised (high throughput and/or low latency) systems
• Experienced in implementing infrastructure components facilitating high volume, low latency trading within a prop trading firm or hedge fund
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Affinity with our tech stack and the willingness to work with it. We use Typescript (NestJS), Python, Redis, Postgres, AWS, K8s, but it is also great if you have experience with Go, Rust, Java, C++
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• A high level of responsibility and ownership, who follows things until completion
• Curious, likes problem solving and going down rabbit holes to find answers
• Proactive communicator, willing to voice opinions but able to disagree and commit
• Outcome-driven, shipping a trading strategy that is consistently profitable vs. being fascinated with a technology in particular. What would excite you more?
